There is a growing gap in funding as many firms seek to invest more capital in fewer companies that are far enough along in the commercialization process that a significant amount of risk is already mitigated. However, these companies still require intelligent capital and expert collaboration early-on in order to achieve critical milestones that are necessary to not only mitigate risk, but also build value.

We look to provide the first outside capital after seed investors to companies that are looking for a partner that will be proactively engaged.

By getting involved early, we help protect our investment through proper oversight of the commercialization process. Although we are dedicated to building companies, we know that it’s our responsibility to shepherd our companies through to a successful exit. Unfortunately, it is increasingly difficult to invest large amounts of capital and still generate the returns that justify the risk. We believe the most likely exits for the foreseeable future are M&A transactions and that we are uniquely positioned to drive impressive returns for our limited partners and entrepreneurs due to prevailing market trends. That's why we look to invest in companies that address clear market needs through a compelling go-to-market strategy, notable competitive advantages, a strong and focused IP portfolio, and a scalable business model.
